2020…
…the year no one planned for
I don’t think that anyone needs another post about what we all know – none of us planned for the year that 2020 turned out to be. And nonetheless, if you’re reading this then you’ve made it through it and that’s no small feat.
This year-end review isn’t going to be filled with projects we launched (though make no mistake, we’ve done some great work that we can’t wait to share with you in the coming year) nor events we participated in or hosted. Instead, I want to extend my continual gratitude to our clients and our team of collaborators – in the face of rapid change, personal and community hardship – your patience, trust, thoughtfulness, openness, and support have meant the world. Seeing old relationships strengthen and deepen, and new, meaningful relationships flourish over this year of isolation has been a true privilege.
Looking ahead
A (not-so) humble wish for 2021
Pondering what lies ahead, my wish for us all is to keep being gracious and kind with each other, to find new ways to reimagine a just and equitable world, and to make that world a reality. Surely, that work will take much longer than a single year so, in the meantime, I wish you all a healthy year ahead full of meaningful work, strong relationships, and enduring hope.
